Flavor House Recommendations

I'm ready to move forward with selection of our flavor house. Currently I am very impressed with Wild Flavors in Ohio, based on their use of more healthy ingredients and reputation of a quality product.

Does anyone have any experiences they can share with a flavor house or any recommendations for a company they've worked with? In addition, how long did it take from beginning to end to have your product formulated?

Flavours inc. out of Corona, CA is a nice facility.

There's a lot of places you can get a formulation done besides the flavor house though, maybe you should talk to liquid brands management (the guys who made this site) - not sure if they do formulations but they can probably help.

You can get a formulation done in a matter of weeks, it just depends on how many rounds of revisions you want. If you're not exactly sure of the flavor you want it could take longer.

But one thing you must do is get multiple quotes because some people in this industry will try to take advantage of you if you're new. Don't overpay for your formulation.

Also, if you can try to limit the number of ingredients you'll thank yourself later as each one must usually be ordered in a minimum amount for production and that can get costly.
