In the Creative industry since exiting the U.S. Navy in 1992. Started on the production side, then to design.
Exhibit Industry tanked in late 2001, began my Beverage / CPG Industry career in 2002 at Dr Pepper Bottling Co. of Texas in early 2002. Was the sole designer within a small marketing / advertising department -we all played many other roles, as well as enjoyed many hands-on hours assisting with sponsorship and other promotions execution. Because of the role as "go-between" with our functions and Business Development, We benefited greatly from the close relationships developed at all levels from top to street..
I learned to love the industry so much that I strived to soak up as much knowledge as possible through the years.. Still learning every day.. Because of this, somewhere throughout it all I ended up transforming outside of the Graphic Artist role and into the innovation / development role..
Currently I'm responsible for the growth of 2 currently "dead brands", one "resurrected" brand line and one relatively well known brand that hasn't seen much movement in many years.. By this time next year, I plan to be able to heavily revise those descriptions..!
