I've never had any formal training or experience but I have a pretty good knack for cooking and I definately have a passion for food. I looked into "The Natural Gourmet" Institute because they specialize in vegetarian/vegan an basically whole food, but I like the fact that FCI is acclerated (6 mos.) yet seems to be very thourough at the same time - I think they would give me a good foundation to work from and then maybe specialize after that to vegetarian cooking/macrobiotics. I'll be moving to Northern Cali. next month and will be living there for about 8 months then I'll be heading to NY to start school. I'm looking at getting a place in Brooklyn and ommuting in everyday, maybe Park Slope, B Heights around that area - any tips/suggestions as far as renting goes?
