- Before coming to Allen Flavors, I worked in various industries in marketing, publishing and food related industries. I contributed to several award winning cookbooks including the James Beard Award for best cookbook of 2005.
I enjoy working in food related industries and particularly enjoy helping start up companies. I once ownd a small hot sauce company and rum cake factory located on the cruise ship dock in St.Thomas, US Virgin Islands.

Welcome to the network, and thanks for the comments left on the discussion - Start up Costs, they were very helpful and encouraging. I would love to "pitch" my product idea your way just to get your initial thoughts, can I pm you? Also, I see you have a culinary background. I am currently employed w/ the Government but will be making a career change in 09’; anyhow I am considering attending the French Culinary Institute in NYC ... any thoughts about that school? Good to meet you and thanks again.
