Importing energy drink to US

I have identified an energy drink in europe and would like to import and sell the product to distributors. Inspite of the few hundreds of energy drinks in the market, is this a viable proposition? Also, how do i get contact informations for beverage distributors in each state ?

By the way the drink is called Staunch Energy and the best part of the drink that it is all Natural. I was just working out the pricing for you and if this works out well you could make a nice profit from this drink. Here in Australia it sells at retail for $3.00 which is about the $2.00 mark in your currency. The can it self is worth US$1.22 for the purchaser so they would be making near US$0.80 cents per can. I was in your situation and looking at energy drinks that could be sold, I found one here locally in Australia that is just starting up and have jumped on board with a great success. People these days are looking for a healthier alternative. If you would like to have a look at this energy drink which would work out witht he foreign exchange rate at US$25.50 per case of 24 cans. So this would be viable for you and to get this out into the market place you need to target the nightclubs and Schools, once you have done this then you you can target the local shops. Once you have substanciated a good clent base then the distributors will come to you to purchase the products.
